Loretta Young
Gretchen Young, nada en Salt Lake City (Utah) o 6 de xaneiro de 1913 e finada en Santa Monica (California) o 12 de agosto de 2000, foi unha actriz estadounidense.

editarComezou a actuar aos tres anos, aínda que o nome artístico de Loretta non o adoptou ata 1928. O ano seguinte foi proclamada unha das WAMPAS Baby Stars. En 1935 mantivo unha relación con Clark Gable, que estaba casado, co que tivo unha filla. Este feito foi agochado na época. Durante o embarazo, Young estivo de “vacacións” en Inglaterra, e a nena foi a un orfanato, onde supostamente a adoptou Young. Ata 1999, nunha biografía autorizada, non recoñeceu que Judy Lewis era a súa filla biolóxica. En 1947 gañou o Oscar á mellor actriz por The Farmer’s Daughter.
Entre 1953 e 1961 foi a protagonista da serie de televisión The Loretta Young Show.
Retirouse nos anos sesenta, dedicándose a facer obras de caridade, xunto a amigas como Jane Wyman, Irene Dunne ou Rosalind Russell.
